Kindergarten Screening & Enrollment

To be eligible for Kindergarten, children must be five years of age before August 1, 2026.
To enroll for the 2026-2027 school year, please bring:

Child’s birth certificate
-
Child’s social security card
-
Child’s immunization records
-
Proof of district residency (City of New Haven utility bill, electric bill, property tax/real estate tax receipt, current signed rental agreement)
-
Parent's driver’s license
Children will be screened at the time of enrollment.
Early Childhood Screenings
Tuesday, March 3, 2026
Any 3 or 4-year-old child who lives in the New Haven School District and will not be 5 years old before August 1, 2026, is invited to be screened. Screenings measure academic, motor, and language development.
The New Haven School District Parents as Teachers Program is available free of charge to families with children from birth to age 5 who live in the district. Please contact the Elementary School to enroll your child or for more information.
Please call the elementary school office at 573-237-2141 to schedule a screening appointment and with any questions.
Please allow up to one and a half hours for screening.
