COVID-19 Parent Survey

COVID-19 Parent Survey
Posted on 03/29/2021
Parent SurveyThe New Haven School Board discusses the district COVID-19 plan each month.  The March discussion included thoughts on an appropriate time to make changes to the school district's current mask mandates.  The Board is seeking parent input to provide data for future discussions.  The following survey provides options for reductions/removal of the mask mandates.  Options include changing the mandates after the April board meeting, making changes for summer school (to provide teachers opportunities to be vaccinated), reevaluating the plan in July and making changes for the 2021-2022 school year (to provide parents opportunities to be vaccinated), and waiting for the Franklin County Health Department to advise lesser restrictions.

Please note: The Franklin County Health Department currently supports CDC guidance which states that if a person diagnosed with COVID-19 and a close contact are both masked appropriately during the time of exposure in the school setting, the close contact(s) would not need to quarantine from school.  Schools must have a mask mandate for this guidance to apply to individuals identified as close contacts to a case at school. If a mask mandate is removed, students quarantined due to close contacts at school would not be able to attend school during their quarantine.

This survey will close at 8 am on Monday, April 5th.
