Dear Parents, Students, and Community Members:

We hope you’re enjoying the summer months and are finding opportunities to spend time with family and friends.  Summer is a busy time in the New Haven School District. Our custodial and maintenance crews are preparing buildings for school, and our office staff members are completing the yearly financial statements.  As always, the district office is open for business and ready to answer any questions you might have. 


We will have a few staff changes as we begin the year.  Teaching hires or position changes include Curtis Bergner (HS Foreign Language/Band), Regan Cowsert (ES Special Education), Lauren Hassler (5th Grade), Charles Knipp (HS History), Mary Maddox (Vocal Music), Jordan Meyer (6th Grade), Rachel Meyer (MS Special Education), Sophia Miner (3rd Grade), Katherine Mitchell (3rd Grade), Mary Moore (MS Social Studies), Kerri Otten (ES Principal), Kamryn Poe (Speech Language Pathologist Assistant), Karen Scheer (5th Grade), Lindsey Struemph (MS Science), and Blake Willimann (ES/MS Counselor).
Support staff hires or position changes include Rebecca Barker (Custodian), Shanon Kuhlmann (Cook) and Jessica Patterson (Cook).


School starts in just a few weeks and back-to-school events will begin in the very near future.  New student registration will take place on August 8th for the elementary school. New student registration for the high school and middle school will be on August 9th.  Registration dates for returning high school students are August 3rd for seniors, August 4th for juniors, August 7th for sophomores, and August 8th for freshmen (including incoming Franklin County R-II students).
The elementary school open house for PK will be at 5:00 pm and Kdg will be held at 6:30 pm on Wednesday August 16th. On Thursday, August 17th open house for grades 1-6 will be at 5:00 pm. Open house for grades 7-12 will be Thursday August 17th at 6:00 pm. The meetings for students and their parents who plan to play a sport this year will take place on August 17th at 6:15pm at the high school gymnasium.

The first day of school will be Monday, August 21st. The phone number for the elementary office is (573) 237-2141, the middle school office can be reached at (573) 237-2900, and the high school office phone number is (573) 237-2629.
