The New Haven School District welcomes parents, guardians and family members volunteering at school. We appreciate your willingness to help our students. In order to ensure a safe and secure school environment, all volunteers must complete a background check process and be approved before helping at school.
If you plan to volunteer at school, please complete the attached forms and return them to school by September 1, 2016. The school district will pay all fees associated with the background checks for forms that are returned on time. Volunteers who return forms after September 1, 2016 are asked to attach a check for $12 payable to the New Haven School District to cover the fees.
Families who enroll children mid-year will have two weeks from the date of enrollment to return background check forms and have the district cover the fees. After two weeks, the volunteer will be asked to provide a check for $12.
We will notify you as soon as your background check has cleared and you have been approved to volunteer at school.
